Baked Pilaf Mixes

Directions

CHICKEN:
1/2 c converted rice
1/4 c barley
1/4 c pasta (orzo or broken spaghetti)
1/4 tsp Kosher salt
1 tbsp chicken bouillon granules
1 tsp dried chives
2 tsp parsley flakes
1 tsp lemon peel
1/2 tsp thyme
1/4 c sliced almonds or pine nuts
2 tsp instant onion flakes
1 tsp Lemon Pepper

TURKEY OR PORK:
1/2 c converted rice
1/4 c barley
1/4 c pasta (orzo or broken spaghetti)
1/4 tsp Kosher salt
1 tbsp chicken or beef bouillon granules
1 tsp dried chives
2 tsp parsley flakes
1/2 c dried cranberries (Craisins)
1/4 tsp rosemary, well-crushed
1/2 c slivered almonds
2 tsp instant onion flakes
1/2 tsp white pepper

BEEF:
1/2 c converted rice
1/2 c barley
1/4 tsp Kosher salt
1 tbsp beef bouillon granules
1 tsp dried chives
2 tsp parsley flakes
1/2 c dried cherries
1/2 c pecans, broken
2 tsp instant onion flakes
1/2 tsp black pepper

LABELS:

4 tbsp butter
Rice Mix
1 1/2 cups hot water

Melt butter and saute rice mix briefly. Remove from heat, add water, and mix well. Pour into greased baking dish. Cover with lid or foil, and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Stir before serving. 2-4 servings
